That's for sure. Do you know if we have to buy round trip tickets? Or one way tickets would make the cut?

I think a one-way ticket would be fine! There's a thread I've been reading for people that applied to Uniting for Ukraine, and it seems quite a few entered on one-way tickets with no issues.

It seems like that! Thank you 🙂 I might have to go to Bog too, I was thinking in flying to Panana and then to the US but it seems like transit in Panama is complicated if you don't have a visa or travel with the same airline. Hopefully Venezuela and Colombia will start having flights again, otherwise I would be taking a bus lol.

Hello! anyone had the interview for parole with CBP yet? what was it like?

Not really an interview, more handing over documents.

Yeah? We would be thankful if you can share more info about it... I feel kinda like a clown trying to enter to the states only with my passport and a simple paper hahaha.

You can get a better feel by looking at the comments made about Ukranians. Go to Secondary sit there for a while and off you go.

When you got the travel authorization, does it say anything about having your spot secured? I'm wondering if the authorization secures the "cupo" among the 24,000 total allowed or if it only applies to the first 24,000 who actually enter through air travel.

You do not have to enter by air and you are good once it is issued

The extent to which they keep count is unknown

On the travel authorization, it doesn’t state what spot number you’ve secured. It only states that you’ve been approved for travel and to be prepared to show the authorization on your account. You also need to make sure you meet the requirements to board the aircraft. One thing I want to point out, the travel authorization does state that you are REQUIRED to enter the US via commercial air, otherwise you’ll be denied.

Check out this link! It’s for the Uniting for Ukraine thread, but there quite a few comments about people’s experiences at the port of entry. You can start at page 11 for those.

That is interesting, they did not say that to Ukrainians, we have had a few come in via Canada. Perhaps to take the strain of the southern border.

Correct. We are applying for my wife's brother and his wife who is Venezuelan. I just didn't know how fast we had to get them plane tickets. We have  been planning for over a year on meeting in Colombia in December which would be the first time my wife's entire immediate family would be together in years, but I'm not certain if we have the luxury of waiting until them for them to come here to the US. It would be in 90 day window but I would hate for them to not to be let if the 24,000 gets filled up before.

I wonder this too. This is how it looks like.

Ahhhh I see! Yeah, I was wondering if the 24,000 was based on the amount of travel authorizations they issued, or the I-134s they approved. It would be nice if they could clarify 😣 I read an article somewhere saying USCIS approved like 7,500 so far but only a little over 100 Venezuelans have arrived using the travel authorization. But again, I don’t know if that 7,500 are the travel authorizations or the I-134s only.

Edit: I see 7,500 sponsor applications have been submitted, a few hundred of those have been approved.

"The process is capped at 24,000 beneficiaries. After this cap is reached, DHS will not approve additional beneficiaries..." It seems like DHS will only approve 24,000 travel authorizations. I don't think it will approve more than that. So the scenario of traveling with the travel authorization and not being granted parole at the POE because the 24,000 cap was reached already would be unlikely. But that's just my opinion.
