No reason to be anxious if you have a valid extension letter and an expired Green Card.  The extension letter was created to allow you to travel.

now what??? the address change was just updated today... and we also got this email too... it took them 7 months to do address change... I am hoping they did not send the Biometrics appointment to the old address

I hope this means the rest of us can get something on biometrics.

Just got another email with biometrics appointment its on 3/20.... thank God

We got a response on the third one, which was the canned response.  LOL We might wait a month before submitting another one.  Maybe they issue the appointment in the next few weeks as our case approaches the 6 months (for biometrics).

is it weird how it says that my application is in suspend? meaning that they are not working on it? like if we had missed a first biometric appointment... which we never got

It does not say “suspend”, it says “suspense”.  Essentially, a decision has not been made, and it is up in the air, which is normal.  Obviously, you need to do biometrics before it will continue for review.  Since you are in Potomac, it will take a while even after that.

I wish I could tell you, but I have learned to not try to find a logic to USCIS, as there is none.  People try to find patterns and such, but honestly, it never is 💯.  Hahah

My case just got approved! Just updated my timeline, but essentially:

• Sep 6: Application received at USCIS Elgin lockbox
• Sep 9: 24-month extension letter from National Benefits Center
• Oct 3: Biometrics appointment (my first one, since I filed my I-130 from abroad)
• Mar 1: 48-month extension letter from National Benefits Center
• Mar 8: Approval letter from National Benefits Center

The USCIS tracker shows:

• March 9, 2023 New Card Is Being Produced
• March 8, 2023 The fingerprints relating to your Form I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, were taken.
• September 6, 2022 We received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence.

I assume this means my interview was waived. This feels a bit arbitrary and unfair, but I'll take it!

Yep, your interview was indeed waived and you will receive your new card very soon. The case tracker will update to say when the card is sent, and will also provide you with a tracking number.

Our case also went quickly without an interview out of MSC (National Benefits Center). Congrats to you for making it through!
