Hello forum,

At the VisaJourney guide to filing AOS for spouse in the US  it says to send your package with USPS.  Yet it seems that FedEx would be faster, and another website recommends it saying that FedEx is more reliable.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this choice?  Or opinions about which one is better?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Used USPS at AOS and UPS at ROC. No issues in either. I just went to the one that was closest to me at the time

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

It doesn't really matter, but remember to file using the correct address! For AoS there is one address for USPS and a different one for Fedex/UPS/DHL etc.

I used UPS because I live near a UPS store and USPS closes before I get home from work.

Yes I saw there are different addresses, depending on whether one uses USPS or a delivery service.

Personally, I wouldn’t use USPS for important paperwork like that. I’ve read too many posts here about USPS losing peoples mail.

Hmmm... OK thanks.

It doesn't matter - use whatever is convenient to you, and make sure the service you use has tracking and some minimal insurance. I've used only USPS for all of our filings and never had an issue.

And remember, USCIS only uses USPS to send your NOAs/Green Cards etc. People who say not to use USPS for important papers are just repeating something they've heard. The Federal Govt and most State Govt exclusively use USPS for all official communication - Driving Licenses, Passports, Tax Documents etc.
