POE Guam

Did not know where to put this. No choice for Guam as POE.

 

When me and my fiance (K-1) returned to the US, our route took us from MNL to GUM to HNL to IAH and finally TYS, I thought our POE would have been HNL, but was in fact in Guam.

 

The immigration officer, very friendly, took us to a nearby office for processing. He asked my fiance a few questions,  such as my name, address, when we were getting married and then we were on our way.

First, Guam is not listed here as a POE, so I could not post a review for a specific location.

 

Second, Guam is a US territory,  Hawaii is a State.

 

I did not expect a US territory would be a POE, especially since it was not listed here in VJ. I guess I should have just looked here....https://www.cbp.gov/contact/ports

 

Anyway, the officer was very friendly, helpful and did not try to intimidate or make my fiance feel uncomfortable in any way. The process tool maybe 15 minutes.

All US territories (except American Samoa) are part  of the US.
 

btw Alaska is also a state. Yet if you enter via Hyder, Alaska there is no CBP processing until to fly to another city in the US.
