Have you applied for N-400 yet ?  If yes most likely it will be ended up getting adjudicated/approved with combo interview. Which might be 6 months or 1 year based on the processing timeline of local field office. I think it’s better to hold off on N-400 for people who are waiting on I-751 process

No I haven't applied for it. I'm holding off on it for now... how about you? Whats your status? WAC as well?

WAC , NOA May 2019. Applied for N-400 in April 2020. My case has been transferred from CSC to NBC and then to local office (not entirely sure as USCIS front line people never give correct answer). Still pending both applications. I am thinking it will end up getting adjudicated at combo interview.my field office has timeline of 8-11 months , so hoping they will schedule interview in coming up next 4-5 months( since my. N-400, already getting closer to 5th month).

I'm about the same time wise, nothing yet here as well.

Hold off because it may just extend the whole timeline? I was going to get mine done this week but may hold off since the processing times page says I-751 for CSC is 16.5 - 20 months currently, and I'm at 14 months now.

I think you are right around the corner of approval (in extreme cases might take couple of more months) but applying now for N-400 push it even further to 8 months-1 year, so better to hold off until N-751 is completed.

There are still WAC filers from January 2019 waiting, so I probably wouldn't hold my breath to hear anything soon. But it's very random too, while January filers are still waiting, April filers have been approved. So it's not like it couldn't happen, if you're lucky.

If interested in citizenship, if it was me I would apply now. Yes, your ROC might take longer since you're likely to get a combo interview. But if you file now you'll be in line for citizenship and will receive it sooner than if you decide to wait. It's basically a matter of if you feel that it's more important to have your ROC approved sooner, or your citizenship.

Also, don't wait past October 1st, or your citizenship application will cost you ~$500 more than it does today. Unnecessary money.

Thanks for the heads up. And yeah, seems like it's completely random right now. I don't see the point in trying to find out what peoples case numbers are and trying to estimate where you may be "in line" - I imagine it is completely on a case by case basis and stuff probably gets handed off all over the place.
For me personally I don't see an immediate need for citizenship, or any reason that I can't wait until early/mid Sept (to at least beat the filing fee increase). So I think I may just hold off for another month. I'm not sure yet.

Is there any benefit that I'm not thinking of to applying sooner? I'm not opposed to it at all, I just think I could probably do without the added stress right now of more paperwork to deal with.

Has it ever happened to anyone that they got a "case was approved" notice AFTER getting a "new card is being produced" notice? (I.e., Friday I was told my new card was being produced, and today I was told case was approved - which seems backwards.)

That's my case. It may sound weird but things are fine. After that there was another notice showing "New card being mailed to you" and tracking number with usps for you to track the card. I got my card in the mail within 2 weeks

if you applied for N-400 during when your I-751 is still pending, they will combine the both applications and invite you for the interview where they will adjudicate both N-400 and I-751 applications.Basically they will go over the interview process to see if you are real bonafide couple and once they are satisfied with that they will go with N-400 application questions.

We posted April 29th and had bios done by May 17th and haven't heard anything since. We expected a slowdown during the pandemic yet it has been 15 1/2 months so we need some  kind of info. No request for RFE so we're fine there. Just want to know anything of where we are in the process.
