Hi all, just received ead and ssn earlier this year (awaiting for gc interview, holding k1 visa) and  will interview with several banks (non licensed sales role) in the coming week.

was searching some topics on employer will ask employees to fill in I-9 before first day of work and perform background check

does anyone have experience if ead-only holder can successfully get a sales job in bank as every job application ask me if I need employer sponsoring visa which makes me feel I am telling lie or I am criminal or they will not hire anyone without gc or citizenship.

Why not look at I-9 form yourself? It details all sorts of documents acceptable for one to be hired.

I was trying to verify my employment eligibility by e-verify and verify ssn by ssa website but both of them shown not available. Anyone have the same experience? I am holding K1 visa with ead and ap but waiting for gc interview

Hi there,

Yes, Employment Authorization Document authorizes you to work in the US even if you are not a USC or a greencard holder. You do not need employer sponsorship as you have the legal authorization to work in the US.

Please just ignore the rude response you got. We are here to help one another.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
