Female petitioner vs male petitioner, which is faster

I wonder if it matters, for some reasons I think beneficiary males go through more scrutiny and longer wait times in the whole process. Your views?

The entire process or different phases?

I think USCIS stage is random, NVC stage is dependent on correct documents being submitted first time round. 

Interview stage is consulate specific. You could always check to see who goes through AP after interview... (and it is know men from various countries undergo longer AP after interview).

Huh?  Maybe from high-fraud MENA countries, Nigeria and Pakistan, but certainly not across the board.  

 

In 2018, we were 8 months from filing to married on a K-1,  USC female and Kiwi male.

To my knowledge the terrorist attack in NZ has not impacted visa processing times.

 

And the Pakistani San Bernadino terrorist was female, so go figure.

@USmann can you clarify where you think the longer wait times occur?

OVERALL or after interview?  

I think we can all see men from certain countries are scrutinized more at the interview and put into AP after...

It adds days on every step. Even the petition is approved,  males go through tighter background checks

So you don't think beneficiaries from MENA, Nigeria and Pakistan have longer wait times?  Because I have noticed that to be true, empirically, after years on VJ.  But, I'm happy to be wrong if you have evidence to the contrary.

 

Anyway, in my years on VJ, I have noticed that the country of origin is a much bigger component to wait times than just gender.  This is a response to your query.

People (generally men) from certain countries are subject to higher scrutiny. 

It isn't racist to point out that reality. 

When the petitioner is an older woman and the beneficiary a younger man: more scrutiny. 

It is not sexist to point out that reality. 

 

It prepares both the petitioner and the beneficiary they should prepare for a long wait.
