Hello March 2022 filers. What’s up? Any update from you guys?

I got my interview Friday, June 23th, Milwaukee field office, and interview scheduled. 
Applied online 2022-03-03 - based on 3 years marriage 
Interview scheduled on 2022-05-06
Interview date: 2022-06-24

Oath day: 2022-07-20
I had pending ROC. Last update on that was 2021-04-30 saying biometrics were reused. After that, no update, only other communication was the 24 months extension letter received on 2021-10.

 

N400 interview letter was just the standard one they send everybody, nothing mentioning the I-751 process.
Not knowing, I prepared for the different possibilities.

 

The letter said not to bring anyone due to Covid (except interpreters or something like that), but I brought my husband either way (in case of a combo interview), while being aware that he might not be allowed in. At the entrance, after showing my interview letter, I let the guards know that I had a pending Removal of Conditions, reason why I brought my husband in case the officer decided for the combo interview. They allowed him in and said that the officer would decide then.

I checked in, and waited about 15-20 min, when the officer called me. I let the officer know about my husband prior entering, to which the reply was that they would then call him in, if/when we need him.

Turns out it was a combo interview, but no need for the husband. We went over both forms (first I-751, then N400), confirming/updating all the information. For information that needs to be updated (like employment, children...) they just ask you to check and sign (in a tablet) confirming the updated info.

When I uploaded the files when applying for N400, I mistakenly uploaded the wrong Tax documents, only noticing the error the day prior to the interview. So I brought the correct tax transcripts, and the officer scanned them to add those to my process.

 

My case is fairly easy. We never moved; never stayed out of the country for long; we got one kid after the marriage; no prior marriages or other kids; we got joint bank acct and credit card; all our vehicles have the title with both our names on it; we always filled our tax as "married filing jointly". That might be why the officer didn't ask for the documents/pics/evidence. Nothing I brought was used or asked (aside from my identifying documents: passport, state ID, greencard).

 

Today (next business day) is when they updated my case status for the N400. No updates for the I-751, and I don't quite care.

 

My final impression/comments

- Some people go crazy if something has changed in their process; I'm pretty sure some people here in VJ would have had almost a heart attack if they found out a day before the interview that they were missing most of the tax transcripts. At the end, no need to freak out, they update or add any missing document at the interview.

- Even though they just ask for you alone, if you have a pending ROC, bring your spouse along; best to leave at their discretion, giving them the possibility to call your spouse or not.

- They don't always ask for documents or further evidence. Bring them either way, you never know.

- Each officer and case are different, so prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

- Overall, the officer was really nice and straight forward.

- Don't go crazy if they don't update your case status right away.

Is anyone here from Pakistan who applied to Milwaukee field office? I see some people who applied online have already got their interviews scheduled. 

 

I applied N400 online March 16. Submitted an additional document (new job) in the month of April. Notice and Biometric came right after I applied on 3/16. Anyone else have a true picture of timing at Milwaukee office?

How did the interview go? Did you gave a choice to be oath on same day vs later day or you requested it?

I think your quote came out wrong. Either way, answering your question... No, they don't have that option. The officer said they schedule for the next time available, which is usually about one month from the interview. 
Also, officers might work differently. Yours might be taking longer than mine. Also, submitting extra documents might (just a guess) have delayed a bit, for that means they would have to stop and look at the new document. That's why for me, even though there had been changes (employment), I let it be taken care of during the interview, not before.

Thank you for posting your experience! Mine will be on august at Milwaukee:) I was kinda hoping for the same day for Oath , but I guess it won’t happen haha.

I contacted USCIS about the email that I received on April 27 that says We Have Taken an Action On Your Case. The representative put me on hold for her to check the update and when she came back on the phone she said that they already requested an interview for me but no date yet. Now, I am wondering when that would be? I guess, I will just continue studying my civics. I am not sure if my local office is busy that they can’t accommodate me yet.

Me…Norfolk VA office. I just called the USCIS and was told that an interview request was already requested and just waiting on the date.

Filed on March 7, 2022. Still says actively being reviewed by USCIS. I had my biometrics on April 15 and status change to actively reviewed. On April 26 the status changed to actively reviewed by USCIS again and I received an email on April 27 that says We have taken an action on your case. So, I logged in and they just change the date of actively reviewed date. I was so confused with what is going on. I called today and the rep told me interview was already requested but no date yet. I am so unhappy because I do not know when I am gonna get mine.

I'm still waiting. Philadelphia, PA. Wasn't expecting to see any movement for about a year 🤷🏻‍♀️
