Hi guys!

I did my interview for N-400 and a pending i-751 yesterday. Immigration officer was very nice. First started with I-751 interview, went through all of my evidence, concluded that all was in order and she will be approving it. Next she did the citizenship interview and everything went well. she said she will be approving that as well, even gave me some briefing about the oath ceremony. 45mins after my interview, I received a notification on my I-751..."Appeal was dismissed and case remains denied...." I never filed for an appeal, neither was I notified of any prior denial. I even received my 24 months green card extension letter last week. Please have any one been in similar situation? What should I do? Contacting USCIS on phone have been fruitless....

Sounds like a USCIS Technical glitch. I would not worry about it just yet. Did your online case status for both N400 and I-751 changed??

Try calling the USCIS and ask for an Tier-2 officer so you could speak and clarify the issue. Most probably its just a glitch and will correct it by itself. But we never know USCIS, they can surprise people anytime.

Congratulations on your successful interview!!

Thanks for the reply. The status changed only on i-751. N-400 still shows  "scheduled for an interview" I have been trying to speak to someone at USCIS since yesterday, the machine keeps saying randoms things that are not helpful, when I ask for an agent she goes like, "I am sure I can help you resolve your issue, if you keep asking for an agent I will have to disconnect the call" Is there any other way I can go about getting in touch with a Tier-2 officer ?

I believe your status would change to approved in a day or two. Sometimes it might take a bit more time.

My N400 Interview happened two weeks ago and still I am waiting for my status to be approved. I am not trying to discourage you, but I am just saying usually with USCIS it takes a bit of time.

I heard that inorder to speak with customer care representative of USCIS, you need to be on the call for a few hours and then more time to convince them to transfer the call to officer. It take a lot of patience. Unfortunately there is no other way.

You have to say "infopass" or "technical difficulties" to speak to an agent. Once they connect you, tell the agent you NEED to talk to a tier 2. Do not accept "no" for an answer.
