Hello, everyone.

I have submitted I-130 for my Mother and Father and they got approved last month. I am on the process of answering the I-864 form but I have few questions and concern.

My income barely meets the 125% Poverty guidelines for household of 3. Hence, I am using my husband as a joint sponsor. From what I understand, I have to submit separate Affidavit of Support for each parent. My question is, can I use my husband as a joint sponsor for both of them?

Also, on the part of the form seen on the attached image, I am confused as to what to answer. Do I include my father on my Mother’s I-1864 household size and vice versa?

Any help and enlighten would be greatly appreciated!

You don't want to list your husband as a Joint Sponsor.  A Joint Sponsor can not combine income with a Petitioner.

You want to file an I-864 with your income.  Your spouse can file an I-864a as your Household Member.  Your combined income will be used to petition your parents.

Only count the immigrating parent on their respective I-864.  Do not include the other parent.

As said, you fill out i864 and include your husband's income to yours to come up with total household income. Your husband fills out i864A.

Your i864 and your i864A. One package for your mother and one package for your father without any connection between two (without including one in other's package)

When filling out one for your father, forget about your mother as if she doesn't exist. Same thing when filling out one for your mother.
