Hi all,

 

I know you are supposed to notify USCIS of change of address during any applications, do you need to inform them of change of address if you do not have any current applications? ie: i am approved and have my current GC, we are moving down to FL next week and next year should be able to apply for our ROC. Do i need to notify them of my address change? Or will the mailing address i put on my application forms be enough?

All Green Card holders are required to report any change of address.... within 10 days of the change.

August 7, 2022: Wife file N-400 Online

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

And sponsors must report address changes also via an I-865, which must be manually filled in and mailed.

My understanding is it is all aliens, not just green card holders and LPRs.  
 

Exceptions are diplomats and people staying 30 days or less.  So if are going a grand road trip  of America, each time you check into a new a motel 6, file AR-11.

Oh boy!!! USCIS messes up with just one change of address, I cannot imagine with multiple ones! That's craaaaaaazy!

Too long to write. Came on an F1 student visa in 2019, married, adjusted my status, then became a citizen in Sept 2023
