Visajourney friends,

Congratulations to all of you who have gotten approvals this week eiher through mail or email. This will be my last post for now, but don't worry I'll be still checking everyday and see and read all the good news. I'll post here again once I get my NOA2. I've gotten so many touches last week and this week (everyday) and yet no NOA2. I've called a few times before, but I don't want to do it anymore..just tired of hearing the same sad news over and over. I wish you all the best guys. Lately I see that some of you are getting approvals and it looks like CSC is moving, but slowly. I'll talk to you guys soon to bring the good news, and I hope someday I will. God bless and if I may claim to be the one who got touched several days in a row.. hehehe.. :( thanks for your support. :crying:

I realize how frustrated you are, but all of your "touches" asside, your case is still well withing the current processing times per VJ. Given your service center, California, currently it takes about 92 days from NOA1 to NOA2. You started receiving your touches around day 67 after your NOA1 was issued (I did a quick calculation, so that number may be off a little.) That is almost a month before the average, as reported here on VJ.

The reason for all your touches could very well be that your case is being used to train a new adjudicator, for example....and as that adjudicator is being trained each day, they are scanning your file, hence you see all the touches. You have also called CSC a couple of times to ask why all the touches, yes? Some people have reported that they would see a touch right after they call the service center w/ questions. Overall, though, you case is not progressing with any more slowness than anyone else's.

Just a couple of months ago, when I was waiting for our approval, we had many weeks, where people were being approved and they didn't even know it! Some only saw one or two touches and then nothing....upon calling they found out that their case was already at NVC and/or on the way to the Consulate. Others, saw no touches, but were approved nonetheless. Most of these people never received e-mail, or paper notification that their case was approved. At least you know someone's actively looking and working on your case.....many many others here have had no clue, making the wait even more unbearable. In fact, our case was such a one. We were approved May 17th yet I did not reveive the e-mail notification of approval until a month later, and only about a week after that did I get the actual paper NOA2. (By looking at timeline you can see that we waited almost 80 days from NOA1 to NOA2...and I know we were approved quicker than many others waiting.)

What I'm trying to tell you is not to despair. Trust me this is the harderst part...the waiting for USCIS approval. Once you get that, the rest happens quickly.

Try to occupy yourself as best you can....go out enjoy time w/ friends and family. If 'immigration' is on your mind, and you feel you must obsess.....try and obsee about other aspects, like for example you can start organizing all your "ongoing relstionship evidence", getting together the financial documents you will need for the I-134, heck you can even start looking into the AOS procedure since you'll have to deal w/ it after this. Basically do things that will take your mind of waiting fo the approval. By obsessively checking USCIS website, and/or calling you only depress yourself futher and make things harder on yourself.

Good luck to you....I'm sure your approval is just right around the corner.

Forget about the email notification. Obviously someone isn't interested in updating your file. Just watch your mail for the NOA2, then you can celebrate.

In the mean time, get the remaining things together like financial support documents, etc. Check the web site of the U.S. embassy for their requirements and download packet 3 (maybe 4 also) so you can assist your fiancee going through the forms. Have her prepare any documents that need translating now (I suggest school transcripts, medical records like shots, etc.) and get her to think about packing.

You need to think about getting your home in shape for her arrival. You don't want to spend time cleaning, painting, repairing, etc. when she is here. You have other happier things in mind then. If you do these things the time will fly by and before you know it, she will be preparing to fly here and you can start your life together.

that's a very interesting point actually

can you tell us more about the translating matter?

we're all going through the same difficult process and i think that this forum is a great help and support

thanks (F)

I know calling also triggers a "touch" on the USCIS website... but like everyone said, try to keep your mind on other things. The suggestion about preparing your Packet 3 is a good idea - that way you'll have everything ready when that beautiful letter comes. Stay strong!

i'd like to start getting it ready but i'm worried about the dates on papers

if i order police records now, won't they be too old when i send them?

I wish you the best of luck!

I have a question for you. Could it be that the days that you got those touched you called the USCIS?

Because when you contact them, they open your file to take a look and that is also a "touch"...
