Hi, my fiancé and I went to our k1 visa interview together in Santo Domingo October 1st, 2021. The whole interview was maybe 3 minutes and we were approved. The consular officer told us to expect his passport within 2 weeks.... last Friday was the 2 week mark and our ceac status still says “ ready” as in ready for interview. It was updated Oct 1st( the day of the interview) and again Oct 7th... nothing more. Is this normal!? I’m starting to be a little worried as our wedding is planning for Nov 12th 🤦🏼‍♀️

Has the status ever changed to "Issued"?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

That is only 25 days away

that's pushing it

u should understand a visa is never really approved till it is issued

and u are told over and over ,  don't sell things,  don't book airline tickets,  don''t book the wedding TILL U HAVE THE VISA IN HAND

since its the SD ,  you'll probably get the passport and visa but you're cutting the timeline close

We’re just getting married at the courthouse, so we can change the date if necessary! It’s unfortunate since most of the DR groups I’m part of seem like people have been issued within 2 days to 2 weeks. Of course I know all cases are different...

As mentioned before, and as frustrating as it is, don't plan things until you have the actual visa in your hand.  It took my wife a week to get her visa.  Of course this was during pre-covid.
