Hi!

I did my medicals and sent it with my AOS package. That was the recommendation from my lawyers.

Regards,

RT

I did my medical after i submitted. I received a courtesy letter to bring my medical on my interview day. If medical applies to you, you can submit during interview or if interview is waived, when instructed to mail it but dont send without explicit instruction from uscis to send.

Update: Got an RFE for Form I 864 Affidavit of support that I already submitted along with my original packet. Talk about bad luck....

Thank goodness its not anything new that you have to put together! This however indicates its actively being reviewed - better than silence for sure! Good luck!

It is possible to submit the medicals concurrently with your I-485 application, specially if you are adjusting from a visa type that doesn’t requires prior medical examination (My wife and I adjusted from B2). As per our lawyers, the worst case scenario would be receiving a RFE to repeat the medicals if the AOS takes longer than a year but if not USCIS will have the medicals right away and no delay in your processing. We didn’t have any issues with USCIS and both AOSs were approved!

Now, if you didn’t submit the medicals concurrently, I’ll definitely wait for the USCIS to ask for it.

Some activity - received an email today (We have taken an action on your case)

Singed into account, is says (Initial evidence for your form I-485)

Now, if this is something that I already included in the original packet, I will make me sad.

Anyone else got similar thing?

Refer to my original post

What does (Initial evidence for your form I-485) means?

I have heard of term Request for Futher Evidence before, but this is new to me

Anyone?

We're wondering how long it takes for USCIS to review documents that are submitted in response to an RFE and give a status update on the case. Has anyone been this far in the process already?

FYI we received an RFE dated November 4, 2021 and only submitted the requested evidence today, January 25, 2022 😢

Curious to know if it will be days/weeks/months before we can expect an update on the pending AOS.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. That's a long wait.

@Onelife786 I just got an RFIE for my form I 485. RFIE means some document from the initial set you sent is missing or they dint see due to oversight if you sent it.

In my case they asked for I 864 which I already sent in my initial packet. I was so mad to get this RFIE. But in a way its good like @ltlbnnamentioned. You dont have to collate additonal docs. You have to simply resubmit the docs they ask for!

Thank you for such positive reply. Really helps

Did you post and upload or just post the form?
