Perhaps it's not really for us here to tell people whether or where to seek asylum.  But if they indeed DO desire to seek it, there are many, MANY countries to go thru before they hit the US.  And I think we already have about a million more than we know what to do with just since January.  Let's not borrow more trouble.

You are talking about asylum, refugee status is a related but different procedure. You can apply for refugee status from any where.

The not  borrow more trouble ship sailed when we went into Afghanistan 20 years ago. Support staff and their families that put their life on the line for our troops should be evacuated and fast tracked for resettlement, why should they pay ultimate the price for trusting or government.

Others with bonafide refugee status should be able apply and no they should not be told that we prefer they apply first with a Muslim nation or a nation with a terrible track record.

What is it, exactly, that you have against muslim countries?  Seems a bit xenophobic to me.  And rather anti-muslim.

Actually, the question is... "Why shouldn't they?"

That's your question, they can go where they want. Evidently some in this forum dedicated to immigration think they only belong in a Muslim country.

I have never seen anyone say that.  You are the only one disparaging muslims here, or at least it comes across that way.  Not sure why?

You are right no one said literally "they only belong in a Muslim country" but plenty have said they don't belong in n the US.

I'll wait while you link up any posts here in CEHST where ANYONE said that.  I sure don't recall it, but I probably miss a lot here.

No.  With your MO of rarely ever answering a question directly, we knew better than to actually wait.

Meanwhile, the US only flew three planes with approximately 180 people each out of sand land yesterday.  Wonder why they are not moving the 5,000-9,000 we were briefed that they are capable of?

There are people in Detroit opining that the Afghanis should come here and repopulate the city.

Just remember this... while we sit here in the comfort of our own homes and watch this disaster unfold before our eyes, the guy in charge is being told to tell us with his own mouth that "there is no way we could have done this better".  While people are dying.  While we are essentially handing over BILLIONS of dollars of high-tech weapons, ammunition, aircraft, drones, MRAPS, etc. to our sworn enemy.  While he goes back on vacation.

Meanwhile, these same people who are in charge... just a year or two ago they tried (and failed) to impeach that particular guy in charge for an alleged phone call (which turned out to be #fakenews).

It is no wonder our country is in the current shape it is, and why people the world over are mocking us.
