Hi,

I applied for F1 Visa and scheduled my appointment date on September then they postponed it to October, and it happened many times, my latest status is that my appointment for F1-visa is on 21th of October and the university starting date is on the 25th of October. does anyone knows how could I contact the US embassy in the UAE-Abu Dhabi, and does anyone faced this experience and solved it?

Thank you

Odai

Call and tell them that it's an emergency because of the school start date.

October start date is unusual

Fall semester begins anywhere from mid-August to early September and runs through the beginning of December, with one to two weeks devoted to finals. Spring semester runs from January (or February, depending on when your school resumes post-winter break) through May.

We’re in unusual times.

Just another random guy from the internet with an opinion, although usually backed by data!

Could be a graduate course, a bridging course, anything, many things qualify for F1

Hi Jeanne

Hope you do well!

I received I20 with a starting date of the 31th of August but i had to contact them again since the earliest appointment was on September and they had to change it to 25th of October, but they keep postponed the appointment.

i am surprise as these should have a priority interview due to school starting dates

wishing you success

As the following site says UAE is only doing emergency interviews for student visa (at this time)

so, try asking for emergency interview

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html

Consular sections overseas may be able to expedite your interview date if there is an urgent, unforeseen situation such as a funeral, medical emergency, or school start date. The process to request an expedited nonimmigrant visa interview varies by location. You should refer to the instructions on the website of the Embassy or Consulate Visa Section  where you will interview, or on their online appointment scheduling site. You will need to provide proof of the need for an earlier appointment.
