Hello people,

After 8 months of waiting, 2 months ago, the USCIS approved our K1 Visa. 2 months ago we received the NOA2 saying the NVC would take 2-4 weeks to send it to the embassy of my fiancés country, Ukraine. Well, its been 9 weeks and nothing yet (they say it takes 2-4 weeks). Any suggestions? Insight? How long is it taking other people?

Thx

Call NVC and ask for your NVC case number.

A much long time because of the pandemic backlog.   Your expectations above are pre-pandemic timelines.  Individuals from other consulates are more than a year at NVC and still waiting.

Contact NVC but also look at tacos timeline.  I have a good feeling of what was going to be said and I agree with previous posts.  I know sometimes it goes silent from nvc to embassy with some of the ukrainian couples I've seen in the past.  If NVC provides you with that case number for KIEV then you are set to monitor that for the duration.  Awesome that you were approved though!
