Citizenship Interview July 07th - Desperate

Hi Friends,

First, thank you so much for all your wonderful help thus far. You've been incredible in my journey.

So, I'm a NJ applicant (originally new york, moved to NJ in between) and finally got my Oath interview on the 07th of July.

Everything looking good, but a few questions, as I'm panicking

a) Where exactly do I go to study the latest version of the test?

b) and most importantly: It asks that I bring proof of Selective Service Registration. I've been a resident since Feb 20th, 2014, and I'm currently 33 years old (born April 21st, 1988), which means I was about 25 and 10 months when I became a resident.. I don't think I ever registered. I just called the selective service registration and they couldn't find records either, but said I need an exempt letter which could take 3-4 weeks to get to me.. if that's true, I won't have this for my interview, hence my desperation.

Any advice here? Online isn't finding me either and I went from being super excited to super panicked :(

Thanks everyone!

Thank you so much, Arken, for helping with my panic :). They wrote in my letter "MUST BRING", so I kinda panicked.. (maybe that's just standard?)

For the test, I'm confused cause there are two versions, and I'm not sure which one to follow as I applied technically before the change went in place. Do I get to choose?

The 2020 version of the test has been canceled effective April 19, 2021.  You will be quizzed on the 2008 version of the test regardless of when you filed.  See uscis.gov:

"Please note that beginning on April 19, 2021, USCIS will only offer the 2008 civics test at the initial interview appointment regardless of filing date."

That's a generic letter applicable to all.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I threw the UCIS citizenship test app on my phone and ran through a couple of tests while visiting the loo. May as well put that time to some use!
