Lagos Embassy K1 Interview Wait Times

Hey friends! 
 

I am creating this topic for those of us waiting for interview dates at the Lagos embassy. I do know they are working through backlog right now. 
 

Please post your DQ dates so we all can get a gauge on the progress being made!

They have actually left CR1 and IR1 untouched since March  or  there about.

my DQ date is 3 of December 2020.

with my findings so far ..it seems they are working on non immigrant visa backlog and student visa so that they can meet up with their school timeline, i also checked Nigeria U.S Embassy visa issuance for April : TOTAL = NON IMMIGRANT VISA = 2,055 ........ TOTAL = IMMIGRANT VISA = 776

 

 as you can see immigrant visa is way low

 

 i also have two people that got their non immigrant visa this month in lagos, ... i'm waiting for May visa issuance statistics to be out we can also use that to determine how fast they are going and by the way i saw someone that's been DQ since june 2020 here on this platform, 

K1 visa is categorised under non immigrant but only 38 was issued in april in lagos 

 

all in all everything will still depend on your PD

Yes, I am waiting patiently for the May numbers to be released. But even with that information I still cannot be certain what they’re actual progress is. 
 

People with May and June 2020 NOA2 dates are scheduling November 2021 interview dates which confuses me because there are also May 2020 NOA2 dates that have interviewed recently. 
 

How they are opening up the interview dates are extremely confusing.

Are you K1 or CR1?  DQ date is not applicable to K1 cases as there are no document uploads for NVC to qualify.

I am a K1. 
 

My apologies I may be a little ignorant regarding the NVC stage. I thought the NVC qualifies all visas before sending to the embassy. I stand corrected!
