EAD timeline for California?

Hi everyone,

My wife had her biometrics appointment in March. Based on others timelines, it seems like many were approved for their EAD in a few weeks (after biometrics). It's been over 3 months now.

It would be great to hear from others in this forum that are in California. Is anyone else waiting 3+ months? Is there anything we can do to try and speed this process up?

We filed AOS November 2020, so are over 7 months now, hoping to get her green card before the end of the year as well.

Thank you.

If she has a job offer, she can present it as evidence for an expedite request. It can still take some months though.

I-765 is processed by the National Benefits Center in Missouri, regardless of the local field office for the I-485.  Your wife's case is still within the current estimate for EAD processing, which is 5.5 to 10.5 months -- https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

We filed AOS end of September 2020 with an October NOA date - and we are also in California.

I had my Biometrics in February. I have never received any EAD or AP notice of any kind, ever.

They decided to skip it, I guess - because my Green Card interview is tomorrow (July 13).

Maybe they're doing the same for you?

Haha, no, just a slipped-finger typo.  It is indeed tomorrow (Wednesday the 14th).

(OMG wouldn't that be SO bad if I screwed up in front of all of VJ like that LOL...)

APPROVED!

9 months and 12 days from NOA to approval; not bad for during COVID times at an office with a reputation for typically very long wait times (San Diego).

Not a peep ever about my EAD or AP applications - but I'll take the full Green Card first / instead, thank you.

(Oh...and thank you so much for the prayers!)
