K1 inquiry date moved back again for California center to Feb 10 and 9-12 month processing time. This is getting ridiculous. They have moved the date back 3 times already. The 6-8 month window has been blown away here. I am truly very disappointed by this. At this point I’ll be happy if my fiancé has her visa by July.

With this update, I think July is way too optimistic. Also, given the current processing speed, I strongly think they with increase the processing time again (really hopping it doesn't happen but that's what the data suggests).

It will be more like July-August for NOA2 and October-December for Embassy process.

So if you do CR-1 it really depends on your service center. The historical average processing time has I-129F at 9.3 months and I-130 at 9.8 months which is a 5 DAY difference. I have seen some I-130 filers being approved by USCIS in less than 6 months of filing at the Nebraska Center. If you at the California center i have seen some waiting a year plus for NOA-2 which is ironically the same service center that reviews K-1. Although you can not choose what service center your case goes to I think CR-1 is a better option no matter what. Cause we will be doing the same waiting all over again for green card/ EAD/ Travel card - which i seen is 13 months right now for green card and 6-8 months for travel card/ead..

Hey All,

Came across this petition for lowing the ridiculous processing times that we see now. This is our chance to do something other than just waiting. https://chng.it/HKdsv42DWf

Please feel free to share it as much as you can.
P.S. This is not a scam or not asking you to provide any personal info (you can sign the petition anonymously). This is a legit site and I will personally not benefit from this. The only interest I have here is spreading awareness.

Made by our friend @keickhoff

Advice anyone on how to get this link in front of more people here on visa journey.  There are a lot of frustrated applicants like myself, let’s make some noise.  It is my understanding once we exceed 100 signatures on the petition change.org will help to promote us

I signed both petitions; I hope it does something. Waiting this long just isn't right. 😞

also just a reminder that the virtual briefing on USCIS’ progress on the Biden Administration’s is today at 2:30 eastern :)

Hi there! How did the briefing go? Did they say anything about whether they are taking actions to reduce the processing time?

Hey!

They (USCIS) just keep saying that they are trying to reduce the backlog and processing times by hiring more workforce, which is apparently possible now with additional government funding. Not sure if that would mean it would speed it up right away for June applicants, but that's all there was to it.

Thanks! Also not sure how fast they will be able to speed up, but hopefully it will at least keep them from extending the timeframe again. Praying for a miracle!

I've been reading like 3 months ago that they're gonna get fundings, and they're about to hire new people to speed up our cases timeline. I think they've always been aware of the backlogs issue, just like you said, we don't know how long it's going to take them to speed up, maybe it will help 2022 year filers, but npt previous years.

Hope we all don't have to wait so long, and start our life with our loved ones soon. ❤

I didn't hear any specific reasons for the processing time delays for K1 (or others) unless I missed something on the call yesterday.

Processing times are now 2 to 3 times more in FY 2021 & FY 2022 compared to FY 2012 through FY 2020 for I129F (K1) applications. See Historic Processing Times (uscis.gov).

I hope they address the issues soon to stop further delays. As many have said on this forum the delays are emotionally draining on the applicants and their loved ones.

I remember, they mentioned something about "they need fundings". And they made it really clear that they are hiring now. But keep in mind hiring new people who need to go through training and that means we might expect speed up in few more months, not in the very near future.

We keep hoping and praying, that's all we can do right now 🙏

are there any sheets like these for July? I realize i've been posting in the wrong month thread, but I am still wondering regardless :)

Did you mean June? Your timeline says your NOA1 was in June, so I'm assuming that's what you're looking for.

Omg thank you, you made me recheck what my received date was. It is on June 1st thankfully.. Not July. not sure why I made the mistake.

Could I ask what the "Approval Date" is based off of? Is it just a rough estimate for the NOA2 date?
