Hey guys,

I just had a question for y'all about the U.S. Embassy Frankfurt. I was wondering If routine visa services resumed? I've checked the embassy site which states they are still doing emergencies only; however, my routine visa service packet was sent to Frankfurt. The sending of my packet conflicts with what the NVC told me.

So on April 18th, I contacted the NVC and was told the following on April 30th ... "The National Visa Center will not forward K1/I-730 visa petitions to FRANKFORT until they resume routine visa services." Fast forward to May 5th (Cinco De Mayo!) I was informed the following... "NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Frankfurt."

To my understanding they are only processing emergency appointments. And as far as I can tell I do not meet those requirements. I am starting to wonder if someone marked my paperwork as meeting the requirements for emergency appointments. Which would be awesome! =D

Most people would be happy with that news

Which my last sentence indicates I am very happy with that. I am trying to keep up-to-date and understand the process as to help others as well.

There may be others in the same situation or working with Frankfurt who have not heard anything in a long time. This kind of information would be nice given we are all left in the dark.

That’s interesting but great news! Please keep us updated once you hear from the consulate, it would be useful for others going through the process in Germany. You might also want to post about this in the regional forum for Germany to see if anyone else is going through this.

Will do! My apologies as I wasn't aware of the regional forum for Germany.

Is it possible for a mod to move this over? If not, I'll post it there a little later. Thank you.
