NVC DELAYS

Hello all,

I got an approval form USICS and my k1 sent to the NVC since March 2020. 

got my case number from the NVC August 2020.

since then NVC haven't forwarded my case to my local consulate general for final processing and interview.

don't know what could have gone wrong, I'm getting worried.

please who can let me know what i can do to advance my case or a number to reach the NVC as they don't even pick up calls.

The delay is not at the NVC. They do nothing for K1 petitions except just hold them until the consulate requests it. So the delay is at the consulate. I suggest you check the consulate website to see if they’re currently processing K-1 visas.

yes, they are. its the consulate General Lagos Nigeria.

Sis. We are unfortunately all waiting. Lagos

is processing K1 visas for those whose files are already at the consulate. I’m in the same situation as you and as you said, Lagos doesn’t pick up calls or anything. You can reach NVC at 603-334-0700. It’s a long wait and they’ll just tell you to wait until Lagos embassy sends for  your packet. Stay strong.

The NVC will give you one. You can probably call to ask for it but they won’t send proof of it till the embassy sends for your file. I’ve asked before
