I am pretty sure that EVERYONE is now getting the electronic receipt from Nebraska. I think that's the default, or perhaps they process the initial electronic receipts at Nebraska. Either way every recent NOA1 I have seen starts at Nebraska. You will see the address at the bottom of your paper copy. For example, I called USCIS and they said our petition was in California. Sure enough, the paper copy that arrived later had the California service center address at the bottom.

I am starting to think the same too.

Maybe because Nebraska is so far ahead of the other service centers they are handling all the initial processing there for now, then sending the petitions off for final approval? Just a theory though, to be honest USCIS procedures seem like some kind of supernatural magic which nobody will ever fully understand!

my paper copy said Nebraska too.but when i asked EMMA said vermont..

Hm, from what everyone seems to be finding out is that the live chat agents/phone reps are the ones who can tell you which service center yours is in. Most likely in Vermont, then.

Hi all,

Does anyone have any guesses as to what month Potomac is currently processing?

I'm an April 2022 filer and just trying to get an idea of how much longer our wait will be.

Thank you!

I've been seeing Dec 2021 Approvals, so maybe another 3 to 4 months to get to April 22

That sounds about right, 12-13 months for Potomac :)

thank you for the reply!
