Lima Peru application stuck at NVC

Any other Lima Peru applicants stuck at the NVC still? It’s been since end of March 2020. Peru is no longer in quarantine and there is zero transparency on when they plan to resume things at a reasonable rate/speed. Im really curious when they will begin sending more applications from the NVC to consulate.

All similarly situated petitions have the same situation.   As soon as they resume normal visa processing,  files should start moving again

YMMV

My fiancé has heard of a few other peru applicants having their statuses changed from at NVC to in transit as of recently so I’m hoping to hear from actual Lima peru applicants, not the same regurgitated stuff from the past year no offense.

No one is going to be able to give you a definite answer. You are hearing the same answers because that is probably all the information most people here have.

The US Embassy Lima’s website still states that they are only accepting emergency appointments. There has been no update to their site or their Facebook page regarding immigrant visas. Additionally, they reported 0 K1 visas processed in January.

I have experienced similar issues with the embassy in Bogota. Until recently, they publicly said they were only scheduling emergency appointments, but they have been scheduling appointments to get through the backlog of petitions already at the embassy since last year. They did not announce any of this, and Lima could be doing the same. The most concerning piece is that Lima didn’t process any K1 visas in January, but perhaps they began in February. You may want to post in the regional forum as that will be your best bet for finding others in Peru :)

Hi! I got DQ in July 2020 and haven't heard anything since. I contacted the Embassy and they replied saying NVC haven't send in my case, so they can't schedule an interview yet. I e-mailed the NVC a few days ago, I hope they reply.

What is DQ? And did the NVC ever reply?

DQ means document qualified.   This doesn't relate to K1's

YMMV

Peru applicant here. Our case stuck "At NVC" status since March 2021. NVC case created date is  03/30/21. Does anyone know which NVC month are they currently interviewing at Lima embassy?

Has your fiancee contacted his senator? I know it was precovid and not a K1, but they got mine pushed through in one day. Maybe it is something they can do. I have my wifes daughter in F2B and they regularaly check up on Lima for me at Marco Rubio's (Florida) office. His folks are very understanidng and can contact the embassy directly. Our F2B has been DQed since just after covid started, and we are still waiting on her interview. It sucks not knowing if or when she will be called while her life is on hold. Rubio's office is always told the same thing from the Lima embassy, "civil unrest and covid." I thnk a bunch of millenials who dont want to go back to the office if you ask me. If you contact your elected official, they will want your financee sing a release for personal information. And always follow up with a call.
