yes as they will appear on your IRS transcript /you need to account for all income

But income from non-U.S. job can't be used to sponsor the beneficiary anyway, so why do I have to mention non-U.S. jobs? In any case, if my income from the U.S. jobs is enough already why do I need to increase the paperwork?

You are correct.  The question about current income includes the words, "that you are using to qualify....".  That's about income. You are not required to provide information about jobs that will end before your spouse immigrates.  The tax section is different and not connected to either the employment or current income sections.

"Part 6. Sponsor’s Employment and Income
Item Numbers 1. - 6.
Sponsor’s Employment. Select all the boxes that apply to you. You, as the sponsor, may not rely on a household member’s income from illegal acts, such as proceeds from illegal gambling or drug sales, to meet the income requirement even if the household member paid taxes on that income.
Item Number 7. Current Individual Annual Income. Type or print your current, individual, earned or retirement, annual income that you are using to meet the requirements of this affidavit and indicate the total in the space provided."

After closely reading the instructions for Part 6 of the i-864, seems like the instruction "that you are using to meet the requirements" only applies to Part 6 item 7 (current individual income).

The instructions for Part 6 items 1-6 ("I am currently", where the actual employment needs to be mentioned) does not say any such thing. Am I reading too much into it, or do you still agree that we do not need to mention employment that would terminate before the beneficiary immigrates need not be mentioned in Part 6 item 1-6 of the i-864?

Either way.  You can follow the letter of the instructions then only indicate the income from one job.  This is not biographical though, so failing to indicate all non-continuing sources of income is not going to be counted against you.

My opinion is that the context for 1 - 6 is the same as for 7.  I get this from the part that says what the sponsor cannot rely on to qualify.

What????

you are asking if you have to report to immigration your income from multiple jobs outside the US

and yes,  it gets reported on tax returns

I would think you want the IRS transcripts to match the income you report to immigration

From my understanding, I-864 does not require a person to disclose all their income and assets.  Only the income and/or assets that the sponsor is willing to use to demonstrate to USCIS/DOS that they have the means to support the beneficiary can be stated.

Also, when attaching tax returns, if transcripts are used then USCIS/DOS will not know the source(s) of W2 income since it only shows a sum of all wage income.

If there is a large discrepancy between the prior year's taxes and current reported income, then it may generate questions.  But I don't think they would care much as long as the reported current income is not near borderline.
