which is most reliable?
which is a base load generator?

If you don't design or maintain the system correctly, it will not be reliable. Neither the hydro plants in BC or the Carbon spewing plants in Alberta this winter, and I promise you it was hella cold up there.

and if you rely on solar or wind, without enough base load capacity to fill in when your solar and wind go down, you'll have the same issue again.....

What you are missing is that this so called base load capacity failed, even more than wind.

no, what failed was too much dependency on solar and wind - that is the difference between texas and alberta.

Keep swallowing that line... Texans got shafted by a "market based" solution that did not deliver. Alberta uses hydro from BC under peak load, they are not an island.
