Need to update docs on CEAC prior to interview?

Hello friends,

We got DQ´d back in May 2020. Once I get my interview letter, should I update any documents on CEAC?

1) Police certifcate is now expired

2) Financial forms (I think presenting 2019 bank statements might be strange in 2021)

3) 2019 tax transcript is now available

These are the ones I can think off the top of my head.

OR should I just take everything to the interview, without uploading it?

Thanks!

Could this lead to AP, as they will have to review many updated documents? Whereas if I upload it they might be able to review it ahead of time? Or is that not a thing?

All cases go to AP after interview.. this isn’t going to slow it up any.. besides updating CEAC after DQ is a pain and would likely slow things up more so than taking the documents to the interview..

I would suggest you to do both, bring the new documents to your interview and upload them to CEAC. I had my interview today and 2 days ago the embassy sent me an email to upload another police certificate that has all my previous last names. I did upload to CEAC all financial documents too.

I'm not sure if it depends on the embassy, but for the US embassy in Manila, applicants are required to upload valid police certificates. Even when applicants had them during the interview but weren't uploaded on CEAC prior, the applicants are requested to step out and upload them and be back in 20 minutes!
