Hello! We applied for the I-129f in August and are in the throws of waiting. My fiancé is from Canada. At the time, we thought the Vancouver consulate was the correct option, but have since realized we should have put Montreal. Is this something we should submit a request to correct now via USCIS or will we be able to correct this at the NVC stage? Thank you in advance!

Vancouver has not done K-1 interviews since April 2016.  The case will be automatically sent to Montreal.

It will be corrected automagically.   NVC will only send it to the consulate that can do the interview

YMMV

I'm pretty much on team "why is that question even on the form?".

NVC always sends it to the embassy or consulate that handles K-1s for the beneficiary's current residence (as per the I-129F) unless they make a mistake.

But they've revised the form multiple times since then, and getting rid of unnecessary questions that confuse people would seem like a reasonable thing to do when you're making other changes.

Some expatriates still want to interview in their country oof citizenship.   They should reword it to clarify that the interview location will be assigned by them according to your current address if résidence, unless special circumstances - please describe.
