I am applying for a K1 Visa with my fiancé through the Embassy in Bogota, Colombia. We received our NO2 in August. I got in contact with NVC in October and got ahold of the case number and invoice number; they told me that my case is simply on hold until the embassy in Colombia begins receiving cases. However, NVC has not sent me a welcome letter or email...and when I have logged into CEAC to try and get ahead by paying fees, filling out documents, etc, nothing comes up.

The only thing that shows up is a title that says "Summary" and the following: "K visas are nonimmigrant visas that assist spouses or future spouses of American citizens in entering the United States. As with all nonimmigrant visa applicants, a DS-160 must be filled out in order for a consular section to process the case." Below this is an "ok" button that simply takes me back to the CEAC login screen.

Would really appreciate some guidance. Thank you!

All of this stuff like filling out the visa application, paying fees and scheduling interviews is done here https://www.ustraveldocs.com .

CEAC is only for checking the visa status.

You will receive a letter (some refer to it as a welcome letter) from NVC only when your file ships to the embassy. You can't schedule an interview until such time as your embassy is open and has received your case and your CEAC condition is set to "Ready" condition. You can, with the case number, complete the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. Do so early may cause you some delay if any part of the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application needs changes or updates. My recommendation is begin to collect the information needed to complete the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application and keep it handed till your file is shipped to the embassy.
