Update on interview

Hi.

Our documents have been in the US embassy since September. Every time we checked the status it said Ready and last updated date was Sept 12.

The problem is that the last updated date has been changed to Dec 4th and now it says Dec 7th. Does it mean they sent out the interview date?

we called and emailed them but no one talked to us.

thanks

It means someone did work on the application / can mean almost anything / background checks or getting ready for interview

but at this time ,  seems embassy is only doing emergency services for USC's

the following site will inform you when embassy has returned to routine services

https://am.usembassy.gov/visas/

The U.S. Embassy in Yerevan is providing emergency and mission-critical visa services. As post-specific conditions permit, our mission will phase in processing of some routine nonimmigrant and immigrant visa cases. We expect the volume and scheduling of visa cases will depend on local circumstances.  We will resume adjudicating all routine nonimmigrant and immigrant visa cases only when adequate resources are available, and when it is safe to do so.

Hello!

If this may be of any use to keep you less anxious (and I do understand the anxiety, believe me!), if I go online to check my status, using that receipt number starting with WAC followed by 10 digits (the very first notice we get) it says the case has been received and the last update was 859 days ago! As for the AOS part of the process, it still says the GC is being processed. Totally inaccurate since I already have my GC and authorization to work for quite some time now.

As hard as it is, I’d suggest that you get familiar with the rest of the process and the documents you will need.

I know a great website to complement the hints we see here on VJ. There, you find great articles and tutorials to forward complete and neat packets to guarantee a smooth journey when the AOS comes: www.visatutor.com.

I wish you a great journey.

It just means that someone is "touching" your record. Most times it's being reviewed for internal purposes in preparation for your interview. Date changes are a good sign that something is happening with your case file. Nothing you can do but to wait. Calling or emailing is not going to move your case any faster. Just something from my six years of experience here helping others. Good luck and stay engaged in the process.

For some reason, mine never changed. I got approved, I am now living in the US, but like I said, it has not been updated on the website.
