X rays are required everywhere else, I was told by my doctor a major part of that is indeed the facts of your case, That BCG shows up as positive on skin/blood test. Seems your doctor could have skipped a bit of stress for you by asking you the right questions initially but the important thing is you’re clear and good to go. Good luck for the interview.

Well yes, even my non immigration Doctor in the boonies knew that.

to follow up on this, my interview was yesterday and I was partially approved pending receipt of the medical. asides from this (receiving an RFE in mail this week according to our very friendly officer!) issue our application was considered clear and veritable. grateful to the respondents here on this thread. however, i would have preferred to have had it ready sooner - blood work is taking much longer to process during covid times... don't leave it late like i did.

Congrats!

Quick question if you don’t mind  - was it difficult to get your immunization records? My husband is from Ireland and he thinks he won’t be able to get them. Now seeing your situation I feel like we need to be more on the ball with this and get his dr’s appointment scheduled! 😬

9/25/2020 - Application sent to USCIS Chicago lockbox
9/29/2020 - Package delivered

10/21/2020 - Received 4 texts
10/29/2020 - Received 4 NOA's in mail, priority date 9/29/2020

1/29/2021 - Online status changed to RFE (I-944 now irrelevant)

2/2/2021 - Biometrics letter received, appointment 2/17/2021
2/17/2021 - Biometrics & RFE received

3/2/2021 - Case ready to be scheduled for interview

5/27/2021 - Request I-765 expedite via Emma
6/1/2021 - Expedite request received

6/4/2021 - EAD card is being produced

6/8/2021 - Interview has been scheduled!

7/22/2021 - Interview - around 9:50pm that night, new card is being produced!
7/23/2021 - Case is approved. 🥳

As far as I remember I got them last year, I asked my mom to contact the local health board of the county I’m from and they were able to find it. I think if you google your local health board in Ireland as well you can find an email or phone number that you can reach out to and they should hopefully respond! So go through the HSE.ie site for the county you were raised in

On the topic of immunization records, mine were hand-written on some nondescript paper from my childhood GP in Eastern Europe. They barely looked legitimate. I was worried that the civil surgeon may not accept them so I sat down with my US general practitioner and had them add everything to my existing US medical record. At the civil surgeon appointment they were able to just pull them from the health network database and the process was very painless. I thought that was a nice "hack" to make things easier if your country of birth has a messy healthcare system like mine does.
