Hi,

In response to your message about my x-husband filing and getting a divorce in 1 week. It actually happened for a fact. He filed for divorce on June 6 2007 and it was granted in a Kubwa court on June 15 2007.

I myself actually have questioned this fast process. I have a very good friend in Abuja (actually he was my witness to the marriage) who I had to go to the court and inquire into the legality of the divorce. His inquiry from the court found the divorce to be 100% true and legal.

I did however have to send him a copy of the marriage certificate before they would give him the information questioned.

So yes, it can be done in just 1 week.

Also to furthur update on the divorce reversal we were going to do, we actually filed a reversal in the appeals court there and the case was dismissed because he was late on getting to the court. The court found to there understanding, my x-husband or myself was present the time our case was called and it was dismissed as a no show.

So now, unfortunately, my x-husband will remain just that, my x. He has said that after 3 1/2 yrs of waiting to be together and all involved, he doesn't want to go on furthur in the relationship of starting all over again.

So now he is moving on with his new life in Abuja, and I am stuck here in the states greiving for a man i will never get to share my life with now. Is sad and a pity it turned out this way.

Please I need all your prayers to help me come to terms with all this and losing the love of my life over something that was out of my hands.

God Bless all of you and God speed on your journey.

You deserve a man who knows what a gem he is getting and will hold on to you! You believe in God, He makes all things work together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. It may be hard now, but He will work it in your favor and you will see how He will arrange things for you through this. Amen.

I'm sad of what happened to you and your ex.

But the fact that he divorced because of his family pressure being a fully grown adult, and that he showed up late to the hearing for the reversal of the divorce shows that he doesnt have much willing to pursue your relationship... Specially adding that after 31/2 years its not worthed...hell I would have wait 10 years to be with my husband if I would have had to.

I think it's probably the best thing for you now, you deserve someone better than that.

I had been wondering what happened with you. I am SO sorry to hear about this new turn of events, only you (in time) will know whether this was for the best. In any case, I wish you strength as you deal with all of what has happened.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
