Plus, if the OP moved back to the Philippines to be with his girlfriend, even if they didn't get married, he would risk abandoning his LPR status in the States if he lived too long in the PH.

 

If he is employed in the US and his job cannot be done remotely, he would also have to give up the US income and potentially need to accept a much lower salary with a PH job.

 

No easy answers or solutions to this one.

In non-legal terms, you are right -- if OP moves to the PH to live with his gf, he would be in an adulterous relationship, regardless of his divorce in the US.

I am curious and asawa is sleeping.  If his ex-wife claimed filipina on their marriage contract to avoid dealing with the Embassy, wouldn't she have had to obtain a cenomar to marry him?

I must admit I did not read the entire thread, but what if OP just asks his gf to come to the US as a tourist and see how it goes from there?
