Hey Visa Journey!

I submitted my N-400 application for naturalization back in June 11th 2020. I recieved my receipt notice shortly after but fast foward to present I haven't heard anything in respects to my biometrics being done etc. My local Application support center is based in NewYork. I promise I'm in no way trying to sound ungrateful about the pace they're working at but it feels like I should've heard something from USCIS by now. Is the backlog that serious for us in NewYork? If anyone is in a similar situation could you provide answers to what your thoughts are please with whats happening? Much thanks!!

Hi,

My application was received on June 26th and I haven't heard anything since, I assuming it is "normal" considering the circumstances, it just says my "case is taking longer than usual". Do you have an estimated completion time? Mine in July 2021

We are on the same boat. I applied on June 11th and  my estimated completion time is July 2021 as well. I knew it would take a while but I figured atleast I would've been called in for biometrics. All we can do is remain patient at this point.

Wow, if you haven't heard back from them yet and you applied back in March my case is definently stuck in a black hole somewhere. We must remain optimistic though! Hopefully you get word soon on the status of your application.

I hope we hear something soon! We haven't even been notified if the biometrics are going to be reused. From other threads on VJ it seems there are some people who filed in April and May who are already getting interviews. Unfortunately, Baltimore seems to be pretty slow and the website says 12.5 to 27.5 months for processing. I think that's absolutely ridiculous but what do I know. Government efficiency at its finest, I guess. Hang in there!
