I’m wondering if everything is on hold right now?  It’s such A difficult time, Covid, election, racism, riots and economic crisis what else can go wrong?

The new fiscal year starts on October 1, 2020. USCIS funding issue might be the key reason here. The temporarily funding relief was only upto the end of the fiscal year which would be end  of this month. I just hope USCIS can get their S*&#T together for the new fiscal year without any impact on the naturalization applications.

I checked in the April filers thread and it was scheduled August 20th, so not exactly recently.

And I was mistaken, the other appointment that got scheduled in our thread was biometrics. So, no updates in our thread since that August 20th one.

I’m worried that there would be no movement till after the elections  And maybe till next year unless Congress and Senate agree on a package deal that include funding USCIS before that.  Everyday that goes by with no new interviews is a wasted time and more delays. I hope I’m wrong though.

I know. The "Lindy Effect" plays hard here. (the more past delay => the more expected delay)

Just as a joke I told a friend of mine that I want to withdraw  my N-400 to save humanity  because since I submitted it and the world has been collapsing. :D
