Please help! N400 interview Cancelled

I suppose to have my n400 interview 3rd of September at the Miami Field Office with a pending i751 since 2016 December.Today I just got a notice that interview cancelled case status it says On August 25, 2020, we cancelled or descheduled the interview scheduled for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number IOEXXXXXXX.We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.

 

Can it be a system glitch cause when I look at my account it doesn’t have any mail sent and nothing at document tab.I’m very worried have no idea whats going on?How can they cancel one week prior without sending me a letter.What if I didn’t check my status and go to interview.If anyone can I explain this I really appreciate it!

It sounds as if they just cancelled it today- notices usually appear online first- and then you will be notified by mail. Personally if you don’t receive a letter I would attend the interview anyways- was he worst would be you get turned away.

Why would they cancel it?It’s been cancelled in april.They scheduled it again for September.Is there something going on with my case?How can they cancel it one week prior to interview.If I didn’t check status update I would never know its cancelled.You know when they mail it it usually takes one week to receive the physical mail.So this doesn’t makes sense...Is there way that it can be just error?

They could cancel it because they are going to be short staffed that day, projecting a hurricane, projected budget cuts, who knows. The April one was due to CoVID. I wouldn’t think it was something personal against your case. It can be an error which is why I suggested to show up. You won’t know until you receive a letter or show up. You can try calling but you may not receive an accurate response.

I didn’t get any sleep tonight.I’m waiting them to open so I can call them.The phone line starts 8 am right?

@Mattgz14 were you able to get a reason from USCIS for the cancellation?  

 

I'm thinking perhaps they don't have your I-751 file there.

I just spoke with level2 officer and they said its been cancelled but they can’t tell me why.They apologized for the inconvenience.It could be because of my pending i751.Maybe they’ll reschedule it and do combo interview.I am really tired of this waiting game.

Welcome to my world...been told the same thing and that it is 'in line for rescheduling' for the past 18 months now.

Yes, it well have been because they didn't have your I-751 file there or something else missing.

18 months for i751 or N400?

We held off on filing for N400 even though we could have done so back in Jan. Also, we moved from NJ to NC. It seems like it might have been the right decision because we have our ROC Interview next month (Feb 2019 filer).

 

I mean the interview could still get cancelled, who knows. But if it happens and we happen to get a GC, i think pushing off N400 and paying the higher fee ($500 or whatever) might be worth it.

Haha...

Just over five years since original (joint) I-751.

Just under three years since second (waiver) I-751.

2.5 years since N-400 filed.

18 months since N-400 interview cancelled on the day, without explanation.
