Hi there!
I filed for AOS on June 22nd and my package was delivered on July 2nd. However, no money has been taken out of our account yet, even though we included a check with payment for AOS and biometrics. Is it taking this long because of the current COVID situation or could something be wrong?

Email the lockbox. Your package could've been rejected and it would be on its way back to you.

Well It is more than 30 days so definitely not very normal, even with covid.

Try to contact USCIS or your lockbox as they've suggested.

Good luck!

There's one issue that I can think of that might have caused my package to be rejected and that is the fact that I sent the money to my father-in-law and he wrote the check for me because we didn't have checks at the time. It was no issue for the K1 but maybe it changed?

Someone just posted this issue a few days ago. They said USCIS wouldn't accept 3rd party checks, so that could be your issue. If you get it back, get a cashier's check or use your credit card to be safe.

that person must be trolling...

they do accept 3rd party checks... when i filed for k-1 in 2019, my dad wrote me a check in his name and my case was approved with no RFE...

unless you can post a link where USCIS said they no longer accept 3rd party checks, then it is nothing more than BS
