Well, I'm tired of being on a limbo...waiting to know what is going on...I don't know how many times I've been complaining but this is just all ridiculous! Enough is enough man.....!! And this whole christmas spirit is just driving me freakin nuts! I'm running away from christmas and from all the houses (neighbors), stores who have their christmas decorations since the first week of november. Here, I'm the one who does the xmas decoration....I'm not doing anything this year.....my dad will have to find someone else to do it...or maybe himself!

Mirla.....I am with you....I am frustratedd....pissed off....ticked off....and just in a foul mood but honestly I does not help.....I had to force myself to put up my Christmas tree with my daughter.....she was happy but not me.....I will be looking at it alone this year on Christmas but VSC could careless so I must try to be happy for others around me...I know this probably does not help but I might not have these people next Christmas and I will be with Oscar next Christmas

3. AT THAT time name checks are ordered...

THIS is where i have the issue.......This is no longer about WHOSE name checks come back first...MINE weren't even pulled yet...NOTHING has been touched on my file since June 19. SOOOOOOOOO HOW are others getting approved from JULY, SEPT, OCT????????????????? No excuse to use it for training, why not just grab the NEXT create??? This isn't making sense...dont get me wrong..im HAPPY for those approved...NOT happy with the system.

4. After name checks come back, the file is worked

EAch file DOES take about 15 minutes, up to 30 minutes she said. THAT means that ONE create is only 2 days worth of work. So, the idea of my file sitting on someones desk waiting for name checks, or under a HUGE pile of backlog doesn't add up to WHY others so much later are getting approved.....

Anyone else find this odd???? Does this make sense how Im seeing it??? Its a broken system to say the least.

Look at it this way, in each box there are 30 petitions. Lets say, for arguments sake the the first 5 petitons in that box (which are at the bottom) are the last of the May petitions in the mailroom, that means that the other 25 are June petitions. So the officer snags a box and puts it on his desk. The first 25 petitions he works on are from june, then gets to the may petitions. Now, since that guy got the last of the May petititons, all the other adjudicators are pulling june petitions. Maybe the guy who got the last of the Mays is slow, or there are a lot of problems with the petitions, or whatever, then you are seeing Junes adjudicated before Mays. Now add in the additional variables of adjudicators who work from home, and they pull that box and doesnt come back for a week, then everyone in that box is a week behind. Or and adjudicator goes on vacation and leaves the box on his desk because he already ordered the name checks. Multiply this by however many adjudicators there are and it becomes overwhelming. And dont forget the shear numbers game that we have. Using VJ numbers only, there is only about 1 box of may, 2 boxes of june, 4 boxes of july, 1 box august and 1 box sept. Multiply those numbers by whatever to account for nationwide, and you can see how a fast adjudicator could already be working some boxes of june and july while a slow guy is still working on may.

With no understanding of the actual nuts n bolts of the process due to no transparency, there are so many variables that you cant account for them all.

I know everyone will shoot holes in this theory, and I am not condoning these actions or saying that it doesnt suck, because it does. I also know that I could be perfectly correct or perfectly incorrect. No one knows for sure except the people in the cube farm at VSC.

Well, one problem with that theory is it doesn't match what we have seen. When I joined vj in june they had just started to work on may and had some april leftover. They worked on those exclusively for almost 5 months before ANY june got approved.

So it does not make sense that they skip to july (or september/october) a couple weeks after starting june. It seems more likely they are flying by seat of their pants and giving in to whatever political muscle comes at them than that how they are working is logical somehow.

You will notice in my post, I specifically did not mention the Sept. stuff  because it is some kind of an abboration. I am just pointing out that it is possible to have quite a bit of overlap, however, I also believe that you are correct, that this much overlap has some other explanation, but that explanation is lost to me.

Mirla, i can understand your frustration you know how long i've been waiting and im still waiting just like you. I invited myself into my aunt's house in austria and that's where i will spend christmas and New Year at. I will use this Christmas and New Year as a kind of a goodbye-thing because i know next year by this time i will be with Mel. I met him over 4 years ago and yes i want to spend the rest of my life with him BUT i have known my family all my life. So try to spent time with your family and keep the tradition going as long as you can. You will soon leave them to live with Pat and nobody knows if and when you will get the chance to be with them for christmas again so try to look at it from that point. Of course you need to call Vermont and see if you can get some Info but don't forget that everything happens for a reason so don't punish your dad for the unprofessional doings of Vermont. You are in my prayers everyday and i hope we gone have a great christmas present which will be our APPROVAL so please keep the faith, you are not alone. (L)

OMG!! I forgot to congrats the recent approvees, CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU!!

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
