an odd VSC approval has just appeared at the top of the list - Camilo and Margaret, Argentina, down as having received their NOA1 on September 24, and their NOA2 on November 31

now, that last is clearly a typo, but I wonder what the real date was? and if they're truly late September filers than that's another one completely out of the blue at VSC

Of the last 10 VJ VSC K1 approvals, 3 were petitions filed in the second half of September. 2 of the 3 said they were not in the military. The third is has never made any VJ posts so we don't know if they had a military expedite. None of the 3 is from Cuba.

What the heck is going on in VSC?! Did they forget their first come, first served policy? Am I the only one starting to get annoyed by this?

Hey Y'all,

Can someone tell me how to "see" this list ?

No, you're not, but what are we supposed to do?

Everyone who calls gets piss-poor customer service, so I don't expect if we call up asking "Hey I filed in xx month why are people xx month ahead of me getting approved?"

However, if we all flood the email of the CIS Ombudsman...maybe we'll get some sort of answer.

Or we'll get more form answers. I'm not sure.

In any case, I don't imagine that calling VSC or USCIS is going to net any real answers.

no, Bill; hell, I'm annoyed and it doesn't even affect me

I can't think of any good explanation for it... people were talking about training, and a newer file being pulled for that; well that has never made any sense to me... and I can't think of any good reason they would do this on purpose

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Annoyed? Heck yeah Bill! And somewhat bitter too. Here we are at months and months of waiting and these people are getting approved at around one month. As I have said before, so much for processing petitons in the order received. While I am glad to see approvals, I really believe that those of us who have been waiting so long should take priority!

I am with you Jason....Our appliation went in June 5....then nothing.....I callled the lawyer we used and got this answer......

Hello Lora,

We expected your case to be approved already, but ever since the USCIS changed so many of their procedures around, it is hard to tell.? As far as we can tell, nothing is wrong with your case, they have not requested any further information – so that is a good sign.? Right now it’s just a matter of waiting for it to be approved.? I have contacted USCIS numerous times and they always say that they are processing from April – but we have gotten approvals for petitions filed after that.? We will let you know as SOON as we hear news.

and that is all folks.....No one even the lawyers unerstand what is going on in VSC land.........Lora

and 'daniela and john' have just updated their timeline to show an approval from Vermont on the 30th of October; their NOA1 date is October 4

that HAS to be an expedite, yes? (apologies in advance if they've already said something about it; I just get my information from the lists on VJ, and it's the newest addition...)

and it also makes no sense at all... ANY approval is one off their list, so there's no impetus there to do things in order, but the longer the earlier ones wait, the more risk VSC're taking of going past their advertised timeframes... one must conclude that the insane are running the asylum

Hello from Russ2622

I have two ideas about why a few people who filed in September have already received their approvals. Both of these ideas are just guess work on my part.

Idea #1 there is a fairy godmother that works at the processing centers who at random pulls a petition and approves it. It is entirely at random and for no specific reason. The only problem is she only works one hour every six months.

Idea # 2 if just a few petitions are approved with a short wait time it skews the average wait time downward and keeps the processing centers within their processing timeframe goals. That is why the fairy godmother only works once every six months.

I write this tongue in cheek but it makes as much sense as anything else that comes out of USCIS.

As a May filer I guess I was lucky to receive my approval in 144 days. I have not forgotten my fellow filers. I finally received a letter from my congressman basically saying he would take my concerns under advisement. (Not very helpful) I have not heard back from my senators but I will contact them again this week.

Good luck to everyone

Russ

First, Happy birthday Jason!

Pat's bday is on the 25th....and I assume I'm not going to be there. Hell yeah I'm fuckin pissed off at VSC, I can't believe they send me a RFE a few days close to the 6 months mark. That is so ridiculous. I'm going crazy here....How come people are getting approved in a month or so and they waited 6 fuckin months to check on my petition!!! I have nothing against the people who had been approved, good for them, but I'm pissed off at VSC about the lame work they are doing over there.

Not only they ruin my dreams of being with Pat for his 32nd birthday but they are also putting me under so much stress here.....

I feel so frustrated right now, I can't wait for tomorrow to find out what that stupid letter says!

The worst thing is that today is my stepsister's bday and I gotta go to her house and fake a happy face and pretend that everything is fine just when in the inside I feel like ####### about all this....of course she's gonna ask once again when am I leaving and how is the process going and I'm just so sick and tired or having the same answer....

I don't feel like going out and pretend I'm happy when I'm not.

Sorry guys but I just had to let this out.....This doesn't mean I stopped being positive and hopefull! No way! But this is something that I had inside me that I had to let go......

Sorry! Hopefully some of you will understand my frustration...
