Haha - being a July filer myself i said AMEN! to that comment - but in the back of my mind i knew there are alot more may's and june's ahead of july! Hopefully we all get approved quickly.

Just a side note.... We called Congressman Dent's office to see what if anything they can do to help petitioners in this situation. I got a little office rat on the phone who actually had to have me sit there and explain to him exactly what a K-1 visa was. He then proceeded to make an appointment with me, took my Receipt number and asked me to bring all of my documentation in with me to the appointment. I got super excited - then he said i'm going to look something up (which was code for i need to get help from someone in the office) he comes back and starts reading me the information found on the USCIS website. I proceeded to recite the words right along with him. Yes Yes I know it all by heart! He said oh - so you know this information. I said yes my point in calling you and wasting my time apparently was to see what you the State Congressman's office could do for us. But I can read just as well as you and visit that website frequently. He put me on hold again - this time he came back with a bit of attitude - telling me whoever told me that this office could help was way off base. That they do not get involved with Immigration issues and it is frowned apon. I felt like reaching through the phone just ripping his dorky little eyes out. I proved him wrong by telling him a story of Mr. Pat Toomey's assistance in bringing my uncle's wife over and that he was more than happy to do it in less than 2 months. Kid didn't know what to say. He started stumbling and fumbling on his words so i did what i thought i had to. I hung up on him.

I m not gonna give up - this little kid - i swear i have socks older and more educated than he was - brought me down a bit but i see all the good we're all trying to accomplish and it makes me feel good. We have to be strong - stay positive and although it is hard today it will only get easier and eventually one day, hopefully sooner than later - we'll finally be with our loved ones.

December 31, 2006 - I call to wish him a Happy New Year (It was 3 am his time)

May 14, 2007 - Fly to Syria with my family to meet

May 18, 2007 - His entire family comes to my house to ask for my hand - I say YES!

June 15, 2007 - We get engaged in the church and have a reception for our families (it's the only "wedding" his family will see)

June 22, 2007 - I come back to the US

June 24-July 27,2008 - lots of research on VJ and work on gathering the papers needed...

July 31, 2007 - I-129F package received by VSC - YAY!!!! I was sooo excited getting the return receipt in the mail - on my way out to look for bridesmaids dresses :) Now all I need is a case number so I can track online - I'm so anxious!!!

August 13, 2007 - NOA1 - YAY!!!

JANUARY 8, 2008 - APPROVED!!!!

May 14, 2008 - he's finally here

June 22, 2008 - "Wedding Bells"

August 7 - Adjustment of Status and EAD sent

August 11 - Dates of both NOA1 for AOS and EAD

and we wait....

September 4, 2008 - Biometrics appt in Phila for both AOS and EAD

Love is what makes you smile when you're tired....

If I lived closer to VSC I would organize a protest outside their building. Captain Ewok and a few other members did that outside TSC a few years ago and got good results! They had big signs with names and waiting periods listed. Check out his profile...he has pics. Very cool!

ETA: I would also need more vacation time, a car that runs better and someone to watch my kids in order to make that protest!!!

 choco ninja here.

We need to square away the press release distribution. Bill B and I think we should pay the $299 for max effect. Need to know who is interested in contributing, so far Bill B, Zee, Amrssnowangel, Janaus. Once I know total number of contributors I can divide into $299 to get amount for each. Everyone who's in for that part please pm me and I'll send back my address so you can send your contribution, ok?

Then we can bomb away anytime.

Who else is contributing? And how many people are going to be sending chocolate?
