Unfortunately, just because there are approvals, it doesn't mean your date will get any closer. While there are no approvals and no updated VJ timelines, our dates held steady because there was nothing to change. But once people got an approval, a new number got added into the statistics of how long it takes between NOA1 & 2. And if that number was big (say 130 days, just for an example), then it's going to push the average to a higher number as well, thereby also pushing all of our dates later to match that average. That's also why when the Iraqi petition went through in just 65 days all our dates got a bit closer.

I got that right, right? Makes sense?

Spot on!!

I have 8 letters that are going out today: Ombudsman, Gonzalez, Aguilar, my 2 senators, my rep, MSNBC and CNN. I am also going to send an e-mail form of the letter to each of those :)

I want to see a mountain of approvals....like the Mt. Everest of approvals, and I want to see Mirla and Byron leading the pack ;)

Hey All..

I've just been sitting back and reading everyones post the last few days. Watching all the events unfold, and sharing the same emotions as all of you. I applaud every individuals efforts in sending out letters to their congressmen and etc.

I'm a september filer so i have ages to go before i can get excited about anything But as we all know its tough to be away from your loved ones as it is tough for them to be away from you. So i get very excited when i hear individuals are getting approved. This is the first time i have heard of such approvals ever since i filed my I-129F...

So congratulations on the ones who have been approved and im pulling for those whose time is coming. (although i am a bit jealous that CSC is doing the approving and not VSC, as most of us are VSC filers) but at the end of the day we all fall in to the same circle.

One question tho... where can i go and check if anyone is being approved? I read a post from Byron and was wondering where to get this information from.

And on another note, I got 3 letters out this morning, to Gonzales, Aguilar, and Khatri (the ombudsperson). Tomorrow I will send 3 more to Clinton, Schumer, and my rep, Clarke. I would have sent them all out today but I ran out of envelopes. Whoops. :innocent:

i was like....schumer? clinton? this person lives in ny....but wow, you live in brooklyn? me too!!!!!

The approvals Byron is talking about were all announced in the May filer thread as Vjers got approved.

click on 'Immigration Timelines' on the top of this page

click on 'View K1 Visas' on the left hand side

Select 'Vermont Service Center' from the drop down list

click on the tiny down arrow that is directly next to the column labeled 'NOA2'

that will show you the most recent NOA2 dates for the VSC...you can do the same for the other centers, and also for K3 visas if you please =)

I feel the unity...Where is Bill????

did he escape the Nasty Thread alive? perhaps we should put together a posse and go out into no man's land to find him...

Not to worry. I took a look at the first few posts in the nasty thread and bailed out early yesterday.

Byron, I hope that you do not really think I am not happy for the CSC approvals. That is not the case. I am very happy for them and have said so several times here as well as the CSC and May Filers forums.

I've been busy in the CSC forum this morning trying to get them to wake up and enjoy the good news and in the May Filers forum encouraging them to stop celebrating for a minute and update their timelines.

So far I see 7 approvals yesterday for May CSC/NSC filers in the VJ timelines. That is incredible but I think there may even be more. I hope everyone updates their timeline soon so we can all know exactly what happened.

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.
