Hi,

After a year and 3 months of being in AP my husband received an email last week to come for oath/fingerprints and is supposed to go 7/28! Since we’ve been in AP for a little over a year the passport did expire and I’ve made a couple inquires around the time it was expiring but of course no response! So here we are next week is the appointment and we can’t get a medical done without the passport and one that is valid/new! We are so stuck and oh btw the embassy SUCKS are replying back. SOOO FRUSTRATED! Just when you think that this is it! It’s really not 😡

I’m debating whether or not to go, I told my husband just go! It’s their fault they have the passport it’s expired and they request a medical done without even thinking, he can’t even make a new one because of again it’s with them! I’m so confused as to what to do

I think he must go for the interview and explain them, most likely they will return his passport and ask him to do the medical. Now days they get medical report online beneficiarie doesn't even have to take with them . On other hand if he doesn't go it will count no show. which might cause more delay the case.

He should go 100%, otherwise, his visa will be denied. they won't hesitate to send that faster. Goto interview, explain them the situation, most likely they probably already know.

He will most likely end up going I know it definitely won’t hurt, they r just giving such a hard time and I’m scared that if he doesn’t go they might deny and we’ve come such a long way!

One person had interviews today & he got visa. Off course he had medical & unexpired passport. There is a reason why Your  husband is in AP. Background checks, other things that you didn’t mention as we don’t have full details?

Well that is good to hear! My husband has been in AP for a year and 4 months, second day after interview he received ds5535 form. We recently updated form ds260 online.
