Timeline

Hi everyone, my conditional green card will be expired on December 9th,2020. When I should apply I-751 and please share any experience about what to and how to prepare the package, thanks in advance.

Your filing window opens 90 days before the conditional green card expires.

Have you googled I751 USCIS? That will have the most accurate information and is where you should start. It is an easy process as long as you follow the directions.

On USCIS website they have an earliest filling date calculator you can use that to find your earliest date. 

For package and any of that you can go to forum from  July or June to see how people file their package.

The "ish" can cause you problems.  Some people run into problems trying to time it to the day.  Use the calculator and mail on or after that date.

It is not too early to start preparing the your i751 package.

Along with the form and the correct filing fee you need to submit proof of your bonafide marriage between you and your spouse.  You need to show that you and your spouse live together and you both share finances. 

1st you should be filing taxes as married filed jointly each year you have been married and living in the USA. If have not amend your taxes to married filed jointly for any year you did not. You should supply tax returns and IRS tax transcripts for each year of marriage.

2nd a shared lease with both your names on it, or show joint mortgage or provide a affidavit from your apartment manager or landlord that you and your spouse live together in your home(s).

3rd  birth certificates of any children you have together 

4th have a joint bank accounts showing you are paying bills and depositing paychecks, provide statements over the course of your marriage

additional proof...

Provide copy of state issue ID or drivers license with same home address for each of you.

Show copies of joint (in both of your names) bills for home energy, internet, phone service, water and so on.

Show joint insurance that covers both of you ( Car, health, life)  

Submit W2 or 1099 for each of you during marriage

Photos of each of you on vacation together, at family events together, just out with friends. ID time, location and who you were with when photo was taken

Travel itineraries, airline tickets, receipts for hotels for any trips taken together as a family  

Show that that your spouse and you are beneficiary for insurance or retirement accounts you may have

Affidavits from family and friend who can attest to your marriage and that you live together at your home.

Fingerprints reused October 2020, and February 2021 and June 2021 (Yes 3 fingerprint notices)

Case move to National Benefits Center December 2020 for quicker processing from California Service Center

Oct 2021 out of processing time inquiry made, response May 5th 2022 that our i751 case will be addressed at our n400 interview

Combo interview May 16th 2022, in Sacramento

Approved June 08, 2022

 

Filed for Naturalization May 2021

Fingerprints reused May 2021
