We received RFIE for 944 but the beneficiary does not have Heath insurance:

Should we tick “will soon enroll” and add a letter explaining when we will go for it on the i-944 OR should we apply for health insurance now and submit the documents we get from it when sending back the RFIE response?

That's what I did. I indicated that my husband's health insurance will add me during the annual renewal. I have just been added to his insurance last month.

FYI only. Some insurances will let you add your spouse as it is considered a new life event (or something, I forgot the actual term) but I think you need to do it within 30 days of marriage. Do check with your health insurance.

Congrats! Did you ever receive an RFE? I did and I'm still waiting for my code 3 bio appointment. Got my code 2 early January

Has someone received EAD without expediting?? Just wondering if we are getting closer.

Bio Dec

I saw some New Yorkers who got their EAD in Jan. Did bio last Dec as well and still no sign of EAD for me. I called USCIS to expedite even if I have no job offer yet. Hopefully, when someone sees that my EAD has been pending for almost 2 months, it's gonna get it moving again.

Same here. Bio on 12/22, received letter that fingerprints cannot be processed, going back on 2/18 to retake fingerprints.

No sign of EAD/AP approval yet. It's been almost 7 months.

Bio Dec

A friend of mine did but he had to do it through a local Congressman as his first attempt was denied. He had proof of an employment opportunity as a front line worker.

right now I’ve seen that expedite requests are being expedited because so many are trying to do them

That’s more of a deficiency notice as you can take it to your interview :)

Just wondering what was your case status when your fingerprints were not processed? Was it "fingerprints were taken" or "ready to be scheduled for an interview"?

No status change at all, my last status change was in July 2020. I spoke to a representative through live chat and the agent said that shouldn't affect EAD approval.

I'm so sorry you're going thru this. When I was in my bio appt, the woman was also having a hard time with my prints. We spent like 10 mins redoing everything. I think about 6 out of 10 fingerprints were successful and the rest, she just told me, "let's hope fbi will recognize it". Hopefully they give you your EAD approval immediately after that 2nd bio.

Anyone else who did code 2 biometrics but not code 3? Been stuck on 'RFE was received' since October and honestly scared they denied it because I never got a bio appointment besides the one for EAD a month ago...

Has anyone gotten EAD or an SSN number yet?

My wife had her biometrics this past December (Detroit). Checking the status they said they are getting ready to schedule her interview. No updates on EAD. I called the SSN office and since I filed for that with her AOS they said there is nothing they can do. Our offices were closed back then so I didn't have a choice at the time.

At this point she'll have her green card before anything else.

I received both in November. Unfortunately it’s a waiting game. the Social security won’t be able to give you information either, I just automatically received mine the day after my EAD. After biometrics is taken for ead the status won’t update to anything, it will just change to New Card Being Produced.

For my i485 fingerprints it changed to Fingerprints Received -> ready to be scheduled for an interview -> interview scheduled

sorry for your long wait but it depends on field offices and who received your petition
