Biometrics Rescheduling?

Hi, all!

 

So, my wife and I have married and sent off the application for AOS and the EAD, after acquiring a K-1 visa and whatnot.

 

Initially, I was given a biometrics appointment for March 23rd. The kicker is that all the offices closed on March 18th, due to the Coronavirus (Covid-19).

 

Do we know if appointments will just be routinely rescheduled without my doing anything, or will I need to call them to re-arrange it? I honestly can't figure it out. 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Some have announced reopen dates in mid-July: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/uscis-office-closings Seems that is what OP is referring to.

See the link above that @HRQX posted. Down below at Rescheduling Appointments at Field Offices, International Offices and Application Support Centers it says:

Have a USCIS biometrics services appointment and your ASC opens late, closes early, or closes for an entire day due to an unforeseen circumstance such as inclement weather or a power outage	We will automatically reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.	We will mail a new ASC appointment notice to you. If you do not receive an appointment notice within three weeks, contact us at 800-375-5283 (TTY 800-767-1833).  If you are unable to wait for your new appointment notice by mail, you may still visit an ASC. However, the ASC may not be able to process you due to high case volumes. You may experience long wait times, or you may have to return on another date.

Thank you, both of you, @HRQX and @millefleur! Thanks to the two of you, I have a combined answer on what to do. I had misunderstood that the office would be open on 06/04, but it will be 07/27 instead! 

 

I had worried that if I hadn't put in a request, then I would face some unpleasant consequences. I'm glad to see that isn't the case!

Your assumption,  not mine.   

 

PS.  I said closed.   To which they still are.
