Hi Guys, forgive me my ignorance before hand 

 

I am filling from Florida for my I-129F, which field service will be using. 

Ii tried looking online but it was more confusing than helping.

Everyone goes to the Texas lockbox which then gets assigned to California

So it goes to Texas...then California  then sent to my fiance's country?

 

I was trying to look for the processing times for K-1 based on the field office.

Yeah.

 

Dallas/Lewisville lockbox is where you send your petition too. They make sure you've filled out the right version of forms, make sure you've sent proper payment (and cash your check/charge your card/etc), and send it on.

 

The California Service Center will process your petition (extremely rarely, and mostly in cases that require waivers of one sort or another, cases are transferred to the Vermont Service Center). Once USCIS approves your petition, they send it on. If you want to see official processing time estimates for I-129Fs, look for this (note that normally -- which is not now -- VJ averages are a more accurate representation of actual processing times, but the numbers on USCIS' web site are what determines if your case is outside normal processing time).

 

The National Visa Center doesn't do much with I-129Fs (basically just forwards them on to the right embassy/consulate), but your petition may be there a while anyway (especially if your case gets to that point before routine visa processing has restarted).

You might want to double check the address you’re sending it too, I heard they are going to relocate soon (still in Texas)

Texas Service Center is moving.

The Texas lockbox - where petitions are sent - is not.

Right now, indefinite because consulates are shutdown for routine visa services.   Nobody knows when they will restart.   Maybe in two weeks,  maybe next year

It's just very hard to say right now.

 

Average processing time for petitions tends to go up and down a lot even in semi-normal times; it's been as low as under four months and as a high as over seven months for extended periods just in the last three years, and that's not counting anything after March this year.

Then 5-7 weeks at NVC (though right now cases are just stuck there until routine visa processing restarts globally).

And then you need to look at things specific to the embassy or consulate that handles immigrant visas for your fiance's country (there won't be official numbers for that; you can look at VJ averages https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php?cfl= , but note that pretty much everyone who had an interview did so pre-virus at this point and I'd guess the backlog at various embassies and consulates will be different coming out of this).

Would have been the better part of a year pre-covid.  Now with Covid and the impending USCIS furloughs, could be much, much longer.

You can check processing times here https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

 

You can use the tools here on VJ by using the tab in the blue ribbon above by selecting "processing times" and "immigration timelines". 

 

You could finish your profile so that it gives you and us further information. Once you have your profile complete then select your flag and it will open a new page with a considerable amount of information.

 

Then once you submit your I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) return to VJ and start your timeline so your information will have an influence on timeline data. Good luck and stay engaged.

Did I understand this correctly: 

Everyone should mail their I-129F application to the Texas Service Center lockbox address regardless of where they reside? I’m Virginian, and my service center would be Vermont based on jurisdiction. I just thought I’d check since the original comment was Floridian. Thanks!

Everyone mails to the Texas Lockbox.  K-1s are then rerouted to the CA service center, regardless of which state you’re in. Some get transferred again after that (I think depending on what sort of things show up on background screening - this is not common).
