are you able to help with the most accurate list of the jabs please? :)

When you book the medical they will send you an email with all you need and a link to the required jabs per age bracket.

Just note varicella will be waived and im not sure when influenza starts, should be soon.

This is the chart they enclosed for the visa medical appointment.

I think flu/influenza shots start in October.

Just an update on how my interview went yesterday.

They took paperwork from me as requested rather than handing them a pack. Appointment letter, currier confirmation, 1 Passport pic, Police cert, Birth cert and marriage cert.

They did not ask for anything else unless it was somehow already included with what I handed over.  I feel sure I was only asked 3 questions and made aware of the fact I was reaching the two year point as I was made aware that If I enter at the two year point I MAY need to convert for the 10 but he did openly say he wasn't entirely sure how that worked. I mentioned I was aware and that I heard it could also be automatic but will keep any eye out for it.

I was asked a few questions like how and where we met ( Perhaps he grouped them ) What my husband does for a living and when I plan to move. I am fairly sure that's all I was asked.

I was told I was good to go and my visa would be with me in just over a week.

24 hours later I noticed my case was showing as Administrative Processing but I am going assume that is normal at this point?

I know everyone tends to believe the embassy will be stressful but honestly it was stress free and straightforward. Just be honest and if you don't know or don't remember, be honest and don't guess. I mad a mistake and I corrected it and we both laughed about it.

The hardest thing about yesterday was getting my butt out of bed at 4am but when you realise why you're awake, it's perfectly OK!

Congratulations! Just a quick question- did you hand them the originals only or did they want a copy on hand as well?

All my certificates were original including Police cert. I am not sure if they took copies or just check them against what they had on file.

Congrats on your approval!!! Did you expedite by chance? We got approved on expedite and were able to book our own appointment, but never received an appointment letter (expedites book for themselves) - not sure if we will be asked for this at the embassy. Our interview is next Wednesday so trying to get everything together this week.

To do this, you first need to "Link your GP practice". Unfortunately, "GP at hand" is not supported, even though it is listed:

Apologies if my post was unclear!

We might not be able to get this in time, because we're on Babylon. Medical is tomorrow and we still don't have it 😩

Does anyone know if they're able to expedite the form, or if we'll be able to do the medical tomorrow even if we don't have the medical summary?

Just booked my medical and frustrated to read this in the confirmation email:

If you have any significant/ongoing/previous medical conditions (i.e depression/diabetes/hypertension etc) please ensure that you bring a report from your GP/Specialist/Consultant regarding this; including, medication, prognosis, management etc. (this includes conditions such as depression, anxiety, diabetes, hypertension etc).

Here I was thinking I have no mental health history so won't have to provide any letters, now looks like I have to request something from my GP about my high blood pressure 😟 I know my GP must be snowed under because I work in a surgery myself, and with it being less than a month away, I hope I can get everything I need in time.

You got confirmation of booking your appointment and making courier arrangements. Take the confirmation. It told you that when you booked to print that information.
Appointment letter/Appointment confirmation - same concept.

Funnily enough, I was in a similar situation. I explained the situation to my GP and they mentioned that they were inundated with appointments and requests and that it would take them a few weeks to write the letter. I don't like playing this card, but I explained that I was an NHS doctor myself and that I could draft the letter for them, which they could read over and sign. Luckily they agreed and I was able to get the signed letter a couple of days later. I was charged £40 for the letter itself (even though it hadn't been altered from the version I wrote) which I thought was a bit cheeky, but I can't really complain! Long story short - see if you can suggest drafting the letter for them if it'll speeds things up (if your hypertension is well-controlled and you don't have any complications, you don't need to be a doctor yourself to draft this).

I'm with GP at Hand too, and did my medical a few days ago.

You might be cutting it a bit short on time, but it could still work out. They say it takes 30 days, but I sent an email and called the helpline straight after to nicely ask if they could prioritise my request because it was urgent, and they replied to my email with my medical records within two hours. It was actually my full medical history (almost 20 pages), but Visa Medicals didn't seem to mind.

Also, I'd advise you call Visa Medicals tomorrow to warn them you might not have your medical records on time. They told me it'd be fine, even though I ended up getting my records in time in the end. Good luck!

Thanks for this!! I'll have my partner email/call tomorrow first thing. Fingers crossed -- the medical appointment is at 10:40am, so we're *really* cutting it close. Will also alert Visa Medicals just in case, as you suggested!

(also hi - nice to see a fellow brooklynite!)

Thanks for the advice, I might have to give this a try. I've been controlled on one medication and don't have any other history so I hope it's as straight forward as your experience!

Just wanted to say hi--I am in Brooklyn too!

Also you may be able to reschedule your medical for a few days time; there were a ton of appointments when my partner thought he would have to reschedule his due to the missing MH letter!
