I recently received my NOA2 April 14. When I check online the status of my application says "ready" Im not sure if I am supposed to schedule my interview or the Embassy is going to do it on my behalf. I read somewhere online that I am supposed to receive a "packet 3" that has yet to happen ( probably due to the embassy being closed). I called the embassy and was told that I have to wait for the packet 3 before I can schedule an interview or fill out the DS160 but online research is giving me conflicting information. Also my petition expires on July 11th..

Thousands wear the same shoes...nothing can be done...we all just have to wait it out...except you want to call 45th and  ask him personally to open the embassies

Speak the truth even if your voice shakes

Follow the directions here in the P3 for Jamica. You're getting conflicting information because the embassy is telling you one thing and the P3 letter tells you something entirely different. I'd use the P3 and follow it.

Never click on a Google document that someone made.....  Now that your NOA2 has been received make sure to ask your questions in the Jamaica Forum as VJ members can be helpful, each embassy is individualized and taking their advise will get your visa denied because it is misinformation for our embassy.

Also, the embassy will email the Packet 3.  However, Packet 3 info is on our COnsulate Page....  https://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Jamaica&cty=Kingstone

Here is the Official Packet 3 from the Jamaica Embassy -  FIANCE VISACHECKLIST -OCT 2014 (3) Packet 3 Instructions.pdf

This may be a stupid question but Who receives this packet? Me or my foreign fiancé?

Foreign Fiance receives the packet, but majority of the time, the petitioner completes the paperwork.
