Vermont center current processing k1 for the date of sept 2018.  so if i applied for k1 in Jan 2020 does this wil tkae 2 year to get aproval?  does any one applied to vermont center and it was processed faster?

You submit your I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) to the TX lockbox, they scan everything and send your file to California for processing. During that processing if CSC deems that your case needs further background checks they will send it to Vermont. You don't want to end up in Vermont because that will take upwards to a year or more to complete. Good luck and stay engaged.

That's the "receipt date for case inquiry". If your case is from earlier than that date and hasn't been acted on by then (whether that's approved, denied, or sent an request for more evidence), you can contact USCIS and they won't tell you that your case is still within normal processing times.

 

In fact, those dates are very conservative (so USCIS doesn't get too swamped with case status requests), and if you look at what VJ users who have updated their timelines have reported (see https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php ) you can see that November 2019 is pretty much "done" (aka the percentage of cases approved is close to October and every earlier month) and December is getting close.

 

That doesn't mean that everyone from those months has been approved, just that a large majority have, and most that have not had an RFE.

 i am not sure where to look for uddate on my case? My case was  recived On January 9, 2020 and then after i cant see any update

The information referenced is from the timelines here on VJ and is only a cross section of those who keep up with their timelines. You're a good example as you have not kept up with your timeline, so your statics are not included hence the caveat that not everyone updates their timeline.  Here is how to fix it.

Hi, our case was sent to the Texas Lockbox and they transferred it to Vermont quickly after. This because we didn’t explain something on a criminal record which was unclear to them so they delayed the case. It was transferred in October 2016 I believe and in December 2018 we got an intent to deny, we provided all the info and got accepted July 3 2019. It did take us so long because it got transferred and we weren’t clear about everything. I think Vermont has the longest processing times. You can see the exact dates on my timeline.

How do we find out where it get transfered? i have not gotten any info on that.

The NOA1 will list the USCIS service center handling your case in the lower left corner.

Also, if your receipt number starts with WAC, then it was sent to CSC.

 

If it gets transferred, you would get a notice at that time. You may also see it on the online case tracker by inputting your receipt number.

And certainly not everyone is on VJ at all (probably way more significant than VJ users who don't update their timelines).

 

However, there's no evidence that VJ users who do update their timelines are an unrepresentative sample, and there are enough of them (at least for K-1s) that when you're looking at a month or more of cases, small sample size effects shouldn't be much of a factor either.
